A while ago, a friend and I started a blog. We never did anything with it really, but we gave ourselves alter ego’s and began to publish (extra cudos to anyone who can find it). The premise was to document our lives, to do crazy shit we wouldn’t normally, and to just have fun, all the while allowing others to share our experiences. And whilst we never pursued the website, I use the thought process behind it as a building block for The Spectacled Gentleman.

The Spectacled Gentleman is intended to be more then just a blog where I regurgitate information to you, but rather an online sphere where you can share in my experiences. I will review restaurants and bars, try new grooming products on the market, road test the latest ‘trends’ off the catwalk and break everything down for you. Then you do the same. Let me know your thoughts. Let’s get a conversation going. But most of all, let us share our experiences.

So just enjoy the site. Don’t take it seriously. Life should be fun, and that’s what I aim to make of not only the website, but of my life. I might do the occasional serious post (because every once in a while life gets serious) but it’ll most likely get lost in amongst it all.
